Taste of the Huon Festival

Mr HULME (Franklin) - I would like to place on record my congratulations to the organisers of the Taste of the Huon which was held last weekend on 8 and 9 March. Since the event was established in 1991 it has continued to grow and expand and improve. This event is a fantastic showcase of the culinary delights of the Huon, including its food and wine.

The exhibition marquee featuring cooking demonstrations and a chef competition has been a fantastic addition to this event. Visitors from all round Tasmania and abroad have enjoyed this community event. It is a great way to advertise the Huon Valley's aquaculture, agriculture, viticulture and tourism industries and provide a boost to the Huon Valley's economy.
